Canadian Vascular Birthmarks

The Canadian Vascular Birthmark web site is to assist kids and their families who are
affected by a birthmark. We provide information, support and resources for those
families.

There are two main types of Vascular birthmarks- Hemangiomas (hee-man-gee-oh-ma)
and Vascular malformations. The word "vascular" refers to blood vessels. Vascular birthmarks are made up of blood vessels that "bunch together" in the skin.

Hemangiomas This is a hemangioma before and after.	Vascular Malformations This is a vascular malformation (venous malformation) before and after multiple treatments and surgery.
